When you were a child, if you had taken a crayon and drawn the church where you were going to be married, it would have looked something like this. St James’ Church, near Buttermere, is a tiny, picture perfect chapel packed with charm. It is where Katy and Adam’ decided to tie the knot in September, followed by a barn reception just up the road at New Farm, in Lorton. While the Lake District always provides a stunning backdrop to, well, everything, Katy and Adam’s innate style gave the whole wedding day a stylish edge. Katy is a fashion designer and looked predictably stylish in her buttercream BHLDN gown, Edwardian swallow hair clip and glittery gold Jimmy Choos. The flowers, designed to look like they had been freshly picked from the fells that morning and bunched together with simple ribbon, were a masterclass in rustic chic. Every little detail was carefully thought through to fit the couple’s personality and compliment the Lakeland stone and autumnal palette. Happily, Annabel at Love My Dress agreed and featured the wedding on her blog. You can read all about it here.
Thank you, Katy and Adam, for such a beautiful wedding!
